The first Wednesday of the month is designated as Medal Day. The competition runs from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm.

North West Bay Golf Club is Australia's southernmost regulation 18-hole golf course, located between Kingston and Margate in Tasmania. The course stretches 5,927 metres from the blue tees with a slope rating of 130, offering multiple tee options including white (5,663m, slope 122), red (5,293m, slope 124), and yellow (4,973m, slope 116) tees to accommodate varying skill levels. Set in stunning scenic surroundings, the course features undulating terrain that tests golfers' abilities across uphill, downhill, and sidehill shot-making. The layout provides a moderate challenge suitable for both members and visitors. The club hosts regular competitions throughout the week, with Tuesday and Thursday mornings predominantly featuring ladies' competitions, while Wednesday and Saturday mornings cater mainly to men. A nine-hole "Chicken Run" competition operates Thursday afternoons during daylight saving hours, open to all golfers regardless of handicap status. The club welcomes visitors at green fees of $55 for 18 holes or $40 for nine holes, with competition play available for those holding current Australian handicaps. The facility includes clubs and buggy hire, along with a pro shop offering golf equipment and accessories.
