Golf Club de Bourbon

L'Étang-Salé, La Réunion, France

Golf de Bourbon is a historic 18-hole championship course located in L'Étang-Salé on the island of Réunion, established in 1969 and redesigned in 1991 by architect Michel Gayon. The course measures 6,101 meters with a par of 72, making it the oldest golf course on the island. The layout features an inland forest setting with characteristic elevated greens and strategically positioned bunkers throughout. The course is set within lush natural surroundings, with diverse flora and fauna accompanying players along the fairways, creating an aesthetically appealing playing experience. As an "in-land" (forestier) course, Golf de Bourbon presents moderate to challenging conditions with its elevated green complexes and well-placed hazards. The terrain and forest environment provide both technical difficulty and scenic beauty. Beyond the main 18-hole course, the facility offers a 9-hole option (Ti'Parcours) for shorter rounds. The club hosts competitions and maintains an active membership program. Additional amenities include a practice area, pro-shop, restaurant, and facilities for seminars, corporate events, and private celebrations, making it a comprehensive golf destination.
