Friday Night Ambrose is a weekly 9-hole team competition (Ambrose format) held at Bardwell Valley Golf Course on Friday evenings at 5pm (during daylight savings). Open to members, visitors, and social players with no handicap required. Bookings and payment are made by calling the Pro Shop at 02 9567 7600. Early bird pricing is available for bookings made by 12pm on the day of the event ($25 for golf, $40 for golf and drink voucher, or $45 for golf, drink and dinner package). Paying on the day after 12pm costs $30 for golf or $45 for golf and drink voucher. Hole 9 features a rotating sports challenge with Nearest the Pin prizes, and a new 'Dice Hole' on Hole 1 adds a fun challenge.

Originally opened as a 9-hole course in 1964, it expanded to 12 holes before reaching its full 18-hole layout in 1978. The par 62 course features lush vegetation, tree-lined fairways, and a scenic valley setting that provides an enjoyable challenge for players of all skill levels. Situated in a charming valley landscape with sweeping views, the course offers both accessibility and natural beauty. The terrain incorporates the creek valley's slopes, creating varied playing conditions across the holes. Bardwell Valley welcomes golfers of all abilities and serves as a friendly community club with a welcoming atmosphere. The clubhouse features a balcony with views over the course and includes a bistro for post-round dining. The course hosts regular competitions across multiple days of the week, catering to various player categories including seniors, open competitors, and ladies' groups.
