Friday Night Ambrose is a regular Friday evening team competition held at Bardwell Valley Golf Club with a 5pm shotgun start. The event welcomes members, visitors, and social players. Entry is by phone to the pro-shop (02 9567 7600). Pricing: Early Bird Special for booking and payment by 12pm Friday is $25 for golf only, $40 for golf with drink voucher, or $45 for golf with drink and dinner. Paying on the day after 12pm costs $30 for golf or $45 for golf with drink voucher, with dinner available as an add-on. Carts are available for $20. The competition features a sports challenge hole on Hole 9 with a rotating weekly challenge and a new 'Dice Hole' on Hole 1. NTP (Nearest the Pin) prizes and other prizes are awarded. No handicap is required for this event.

Bardwell Valley Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course located 12km south of Sydney CBD in natural bushland along the slopes of Bardwell Creek. Originally opened as a 9-hole course in 1964, it expanded to 12 holes before reaching its full 18-hole layout in 1978. The par 62 course features lush vegetation, tree-lined fairways, and a scenic valley setting that provides an enjoyable challenge for players of all skill levels. Situated in a charming valley landscape with sweeping views, the course offers both accessibility and natural beauty. The terrain incorporates the creek valley's slopes, creating varied playing conditions across the holes. Bardwell Valley welcomes golfers of all abilities and serves as a friendly community club with a welcoming atmosphere. The clubhouse features a balcony with views over the course and includes a bistro for post-round dining. The course hosts regular competitions across multiple days of the week, catering to various player categories including seniors, open competitors, and ladies' groups.
