The 2026 Maine Junior Championship is a two-day, 36-hole individual stroke play tournament hosted by Maine Golf at Fairlawn Golf Course in Poland, Maine. The event runs on July 29-30, 2026. This longstanding championship (dating back to 1934) combines individual and team competition formats. Players may compete as individuals or form two-player teams (optional; teammates can be selected freely). Teams are flighted based on the age of the older participant. Individual medalists compete for the Maine Junior Champion title with flights for winners. Open to all juniors under age 19. Maximum handicap index of 16.0 for high schoolers and 28.0 for middle schoolers. Entry fee is $30 per day. Registration is handled through Golf Genius. Parents and spectators are welcome on course (maintaining 50-foot distance from players). Caddies are permitted. The event is part of the Maine Junior Open Series and awards Maine Team points toward Player of the Year standings. Individual champion wins a trophy and Maine Golf voucher money; team champions win a trophy and Maine Golf voucher money. Voucher winnings depend on field size. Max field of 60 players per event.
