The layout is designed to challenge golfers of all levels, with yardages ranging from 5,031 yards from the red tees to 6,748 yards from the back tees, all set at a par of 72. The course has earned a reputation for its design quality, consistently ranking in Golf Digest Japan's "Top 100 Courses in Japan." Its strategic nature has made it a frequent host for national open championships, including the Japan Women's Open, the Japan Senior Open, and the Japan Amateur Championship. Several holes stand out as signature challenges. The 7th hole, a par 4, is a 300-yard carry over a large pond that has been selected for Golf Digest Japan's "Top 18 Holes in Japan" feature. The 3rd hole, a par 3, requires a 300-yard carry over the Saajima Pond, forcing players to navigate a significant water hazard to reach the middle of the fairway. The 8th hole, a par 3, demands a high shot over a large pine tree and water to reach the main green, while the 5th hole, a par 4, features a prominent pine tree standing 300 yards from the tee that complicates the approach for long hitters. The course offers four sets of tees-Pine, Melon, White, and Green-allowing for varied difficulty and length.
