Seto Ohashi Country Club is a 18-hole, par 72 course located in Tamano, Okayama, at the southernmost tip of the prefecture. Situated in a setting influenced by the sea breeze of the Seto Inland Sea, the layout utilizes the natural terrain to create a hilly course. The facility opened in March 1989 with the aim of becoming a golf course beloved by the local community. Between 1990 and 1999, the course underwent a nine-year renovation process that widened the fairways and reduced undulations to create a more open and accessible playing surface. The course is divided into two distinct nines. The front nine is characterized by relatively wide fairways that allow for aggressive play, while the back nine presents a more challenging test with blind shots and narrowed fairways that demand precise distance control and accuracy. The regular yardage from the back tees is 6,249 yards, with a course rating of 70.8 and a slope rating of 126. The design features shallow bunkers and relatively forgiving greens, aiming to provide a strategic challenge that appeals to both beginners and experienced players. Notable holes include the first, a par-5 that appears narrower than it is and requires a disciplined tee shot to avoid out-of-bounds, and the ninth, a par-3 where the green is surrounded by bunkers, particularly a high-rimmed bunker on the left. The tenth hole is a par-4 dogleg left with a narrow fairway that requires careful placement off the tee. The closing eighteenth is a par-5 dogleg right that offers a scenic view and allows for a bold approach over the mountain slope for a two-shot finish. The club hosts various events throughout the year, including the Seto Ohashi Team Scramble Competition and the Yonex Junior Golf Championship. The facility also supports junior golf development through the Junior Cup competition. The course is equipped with modern cart navigation systems that allow for real-time score tracking and leaderboard functionality for competitions.
