The 'Summer Thursday' (Jeudi de l'Eté) is a recurring individual amateur golf competition held at Golf de Caen la Mer on Thursday, 23 July 2026. The event is open to all amateur golfers, whether members of the club's sports association (ASGC) or not, provided they are licensed with the French Golf Federation (FFGolf) and have a valid medical certificate or health questionnaire. Foreign golfers not affiliated with FFGolf are admitted if accepted by the committee and holding a certified index from their home federation. Entries are managed exclusively online via isp-golf.fr, opening 10 days before the competition and closing when the quota is reached (max 120 players for 18 holes) or by the day before at 23:00. The entry fee is €15 for non-members, reduced to €5 for ASGC members, and free for under-21 ASGC members, payable on the day of competition. The competition is played as individual strokeplay or stableford, with handicap divisions (Series 1: men up to 11.4, ladies up to 20.4; Series 2: men 11.5-24.4, ladies 20.5-54; Series 3: men 24.5-54). Handicaps above 36 are capped at 36 for scoring purposes. Carts are prohibited unless medically justified. Prize giving takes place in the evening at the clubhouse.
