The Junior Open is a singles strokeplay competition for junior golfers held at Gloucester Golf Club on Wednesday 19th August 2026. The event is open to both male and female juniors. Entry fee is £10.00 for visitors and £7.50 for members. Players must hold a handicap of 28 or less (men) or 36 or less (ladies), or be able to play to an equivalent standard. Entries are booked online through the club's visitor booking system. Smart customary golf wear is expected, with golf shoes required on the course. Players must walk during the round unless a valid medical certificate permits buggy use.

Gloucester Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course with a par of 70, located on Robinswood Hill overlooking Gloucestershire's picturesque countryside. The course features distinctive elevation changes, descending from 600 feet to 200 feet, creating varied and interesting terrain that is considered the most challenging in the region. Six new lakes were added around the front nine holes, enhancing drainage and playability while increasing the course's difficulty. The club transitioned to a private members-only facility in 2017 and has undergone significant modernization, with over £200,000 invested in new machinery and course improvements. Membership has grown substantially from 300 to over 600 members since privatization. The facility includes a flood-lit 13-bay Top Tracer driving range for practice and warm-up. The course is noted for its excellent condition and professional management, hosting various society events and tournaments throughout the year.
