Morinaga Takataki Country Club is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course located in Koshibatani, Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Situated in the Boso hilly region, the course opened on October 17, 1992, and was designed by Taizo Kawada, a noted architect who served as captain and manager for various international teams and held committee roles within the Japan Golf Association. The layout is classified as a hilly course, with the design maximizing natural terrain features to create strategic challenges. The course features Bent grass greens and offers multiple tee box options, ranging from the Ladies tee at 5,278 yards with a rating of 65.5 to the Champion tee at 7,094 yards with a rating of 73.3. The course is designed to provide individual character to each hole, requiring courage and skill from advanced players while offering strategic options for average golfers. The front nine begins with a straight par 4, the first hole, which measures 458 yards from the Champion tee. This hole features a downhill second shot with a slope from right to left, making the right side of the fairway the optimal landing area to avoid difficult left-side lies. The front nine concludes with a par 4, while the back nine presents a mix of challenges, including a long par 5, the 18th hole, which measures 586 yards from the Champion tee. This finishing hole is a right dogleg that slopes gently uphill toward the clubhouse, sharing a double green with the ninth hole. Significant elevation changes define the course, particularly on the fifth hole, a 560-yard par 5 from the Champion tee. This hole features an uphill tee shot onto a wide fairway, followed by a blind second shot over a hill toward the green. The green complex slopes strongly from back to front, requiring players to approach from the front to avoid difficult putts. The course has hosted professional events, including the Hisako Gugino Morinaga Ladies tournament in 2014, and is equipped with a restaurant, lounge, party rooms, and a driving range.
