The Major Cup 2026 is an annual individual competition series held at Parco di Roma Golf Club, consisting of 14 qualifying rounds and 4 major events. The 12th stage takes place on 12 September 2026. Format: 18 holes Stableford, single category (handicap limit of 36). Entry requires registration with the club secretary via phone or email, with a one-time entry fee of €30. The event is open to adults (majori). Winners of qualifying rounds receive exemptions or refunds on entry fees for subsequent rounds. The overall classification is based on the sum of the best 10 scores from the qualifying rounds, with stableford points converted to coins (1 point = 1 coin). Prizes include a Major Cup subscription for 2027 for the overall winner, plus additional prizes based on final classification. Day prizes include exemption from the next qualifying round fee for the winner, with the final round winner receiving a same-day refund. Some stages offer bonus coins. The top 70 players (plus ties) qualify for the Master major (1 point = 2 coins), top 60 for the PGA Championship (1 point = 2 coins), top 50 for the US Open (1 point = 3 coins), and top 40 for the Open Championship final (1 point = 4 coins). Ties for first place are decided by sudden death playoff on holes 17-18; other ties are decided by most coins in the last race, then retroactively.

Parco di Roma Golf Club

The Parco di Roma Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 championship course located within the Parco di Veio, a green area on the outskirts of Rome. Designed by P.B. Dye and inaugurated in 1999, the layout is set among gentle hills and harmonious landscapes that blend technical golfing challenges with the natural environment. The course features technical fairways and expansive greens that demand concentration and precision from players of all levels. A defining characteristic of the course is its panoramic setting, which offers 360-degree views that include the dome of St. Peter's Basilica and the vestiges of ancient Rome. This unique vantage point integrates the sport with the surrounding history and nature, creating a distinct playing environment that stands out among the capital's golf facilities. The club supports its championship course with a comprehensive practice facility, including a driving range with over 50 stations, two putting greens, and dedicated areas for pitching and bunker practice. These facilities are designed to allow members and guests to refine their skills in a professional setting. The course is part of a larger club environment that includes a clubhouse, restaurant, and golf academy, maintaining a focus on both competitive play and technical improvement.
