Ichihara Golf Club in Chiba Prefecture operates two distinct public courses: the 27-hole Ichihara Course and the 18-hole Kakinoki Course. The Ichihara Course, which features a new clubhouse that opened in March 2022, is designed as a hilly layout with three nine-hole loops named East, Middle, and West. The East Course presents a par-36 layout with a total length of 3,238 yards from the blue tees, characterized by wide fairways and dramatic downhill shots. The Middle Course, also par-36, offers a total distance of 3,323 yards from the blue tees and is noted for its wide fairways that allow for aggressive play, though it requires precision on approach shots to large, receptive greens. The West Course rounds out the 27 holes with a par-36 layout measuring 3,078 yards from the blue tees, featuring narrower fairways that demand accuracy to avoid trees and a two-tiered green complex. The Kakinoki Course is a separate 18-hole, par-72 layout situated in a wooded, hilly terrain where each hole is completely separated from the others. Measuring 6,500 yards from the blue tees, the course is designed to accommodate various skill levels, with recommended holes for driving contests including the long par-5 fourth and the par-5 fourteenth. The front nine totals 3,279 yards, featuring challenging par-4s and par-5s, while the back nine measures 3,221 yards and includes short par-3s like the second and the long par-5 eighth. The course features two-tiered greens and is equipped with remote-controlled carts and GPS navigation systems to assist with distance and hazard management. Both courses are located in Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture, offering accessible locations within approximately 70 minutes of central Tokyo. The Ichihara Course is situated at 855 Homen, Ichihara City, while the Kakinoki Course is located at 1293 Ushiku, Ichihara City. The facility promotes a friendly environment for beginners and female golfers, with multiple tee boxes ranging from red to blue to adjust the difficulty and length of play. The club utilizes remote-controlled carts and GPS navigation systems across both courses to facilitate smooth play and provide distance information to greens and hazards.
