The Monthly Cup (マンスリーカップ) is a monthly open competition held at Fujinomiya Golf Club in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The event features free entry with various prizes prepared for participants. The competition is played as a half-score (9 holes) Peria match — a betterball format where two players compete as a side with the better of their two scores counting at each hole. Rankings are determined immediately after play concludes, so participants do not need to wait. If the required number of participants is not met on the day, the open competition will be cancelled. Green fees apply for play (self-play or caddie-assisted), with prices including consumption tax, golf course usage tax, and Shizuoka Prefecture golf promotion fund. The event is held monthly, with dates published in advance. No post-competition party is provided.

The 6,729-yard layout is set on a hilly terrain spanning 150,000 tsubo and features two distinct sets of tees and greens, allowing for varying yardage and difficulty levels. The course was supervised by renowned golf architect Toshiichi Nakamura. The front nine presents a mix of long par fives and technical par fours, with the 1st hole serving as a demanding 550-yard opener from the back tees. The 2nd hole is a straightforward 466-yard par 4, while the 3rd and 6th holes offer shorter, precision-oriented par 3s measuring 174 and 216 yards respectively. The 4th hole provides a lengthy 516-yard par 5, and the 5th hole is a 387-yard par 4. The front nine concludes with three consecutive par 4s: the 7th (341 yards), the 8th (380 yards), and the 9th (365 yards). The back nine begins with the 10th, a 351-yard par 4, followed by the 11th, a 443-yard par 4 that serves as a significant scoring opportunity. The 12th hole is a 402-yard par 4, leading into the 13th, a 516-yard par 5. The 14th and 16th holes are par 3s measuring 195 and 154 yards respectively, providing a test of approach play. The 15th is a 494-yard par 5, while the 17th is a 411-yard par 4. The course finishes with the 18th hole, a 368-yard par 4. The course features two sets of greens, with the Advanced Greens (A.G) and Basic Greens (B.G) offering different yardages and challenges. The course rating varies depending on the tee and green combination, with the Black Tee (B.T) Advanced Greens yielding a rating of 72.3, while the Red Tee (R.T) Basic Greens provide a rating of 69.7. The handicap indices are distributed across the holes to reflect their relative difficulty, with the 15th hole on the front nine and the 15th hole on the back nine both carrying the highest handicap index of 18.
