The 10th Annual Kal-West Mechanical Men's Open is a 36-hole strokeplay event held at Black Mountain Golf Club in Kelowna, British Columbia, on September 12-13, 2026. The tournament features multiple divisions with gross and net scoring. Maximum handicap factor allowed is 21.5. Shotgun starts are at 1:30 pm on Saturday (September 12) and 9:30 am on Sunday (September 13). Entrants may request their first-round pairing and tee time; second-round pairings and tee times are determined by first-round scoring and flights. Entry fees are $250 for Black Mountain Golf Club members and PGA of Canada Professionals, and $300 for non-members. The entry fee includes 36 holes with cart, dinner on Saturday, lunch on Sunday, entry into an optional Friday night horserace at 5:30 pm, a $50 tee gift, and a chance at a huge prize table. Black Mountain Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-71 championship course located in Kelowna, British Columbia, situated within the Okanagan Valley. The course spans 6,400 yards and is designed to accommodate golfers of all skill levels through the provision of four distinct tee boxes. The layout is characterized by its mountainside setting, with significant portions of the course running along cliffs that offer views of the surrounding valley. The design features challenging terrain that takes advantage of the natural elevation changes, including a signature island hole that requires a shot over water. The course is noted for its cliff-side play, which provides a distinct visual and strategic element to the round. The facility has been recognized for its quality, having been named the PGA of BC Golf Facility of the Year in 2018. Black Mountain hosts various tournaments and events throughout the season, including the Kal-West Mechanical Men's Open and the Jason Parkes Customs Par 3 Challenge. The course is part of the BlueSky at Black Mountain community, a master-planned development that includes residential lots with views of the golf course and the Okanagan Valley. The club is owned and operated by Melcor Developments.
