The STG Open Competition (Bridgestone Cup) is an open amateur golf competition held at Shin-Tamamura Golf Course on Friday, 30 October 2026. It is one of the club's regular open competitions, open to visiting non-member golfers, and players may enter solo or as a group. The event is an 18-hole competition using the New Peria (modified bogey) scoring system, with prizes for the winner, the top five net finishers, a best-ball (BB) prize, an NP (New Peria) prize, and an 18-hole New Peria competition. The entry fee of 8,999 yen includes the green fee, a meal, and the entry fee. A discount is available for players aged 65 and over, who also receive a tax reduction/exemption on the green fee. A 550 yen cancellation fee applies for same-day cancellations. The competition is confirmed when at least 32 players enter; if fewer than 100 players turn up on the day, 30% of the entry fee is refunded. Bridgestone Golf is the sponsor of the event.

The course rating ranges from 64.1 on the forward tees to 72.9 on the championship setup, providing a scalable challenge for golfers of different skill levels. The design emphasizes strategic shot-making over sheer distance, with a mix of par-3, par-4, and par-5 holes. The back nine is anchored by two significant par-5s: the 556-yard 15th hole and the 578-yard 11th hole, which is recommended as a key driving contest hole. The 15th hole serves as the signature par-5 on the back nine, offering a substantial test for long hitters. Conversely, the front nine features shorter, more technical holes, including the 164-yard 14th par-3, which is highlighted as a preferred hole for nearest-pin contests. Obstacles and local rules play a critical role in the course's difficulty. Out of bounds is marked by white stakes, while water hazards and penalty areas are delineated by yellow lines or stakes. The course enforces specific local rules for out-of-bounds shots on the 1st, 15th, and 16th holes, requiring players to tee off from a special forward tee for their fourth shot. Similarly, the 3rd hole features a water hazard that forces players to re-tee from a forward position if their initial drive lands in the water.
