The Meat Festival (Nikutsuri) is a recurring half-competition event held at Tanagura Country Club on the 29th of each month (June, July, August, October, November). The competition plays the front nine holes with scoring based on the New Peria stableford system, with a W Par Cut applied. Maximum handicap is 18. Entry fee is 1,100 JPY (including tax). Prizes are awarded for 1st through 5th place, 7th place, and 10th place plus longest drive, best modified, and special prizes. Prizes are distributed at settlement. The event includes 30 practice balls before start. Lunch-time alcoholic beverages are available at half price for the second drink.

Located in the eastern hills of Fukushima Prefecture, Tanagura Country Club is a 27-hole facility set in a rolling, hilly landscape that offers views of the Nasu, Abukuma, and Hachimantai mountain ranges. The course is divided into three distinct nine-hole loops: the East Course, the Center Course, and the West Course. Each nine plays to a par of 36, resulting in a total course par of 108. The East Course is described as flat and approachable, though it features several dogleg holes on the front and back nines that demand precision. The Center Course offers a slightly shorter distance but provides varied challenges that prevent it from being underestimated. The West Course is the longest of the three, catering to powerful hitters who can drive the ball effectively, with a layout that rewards accurate driving and careful putting. The facility has a history of hosting significant tournaments, including the Japan-US University Golf Championship, which utilizes the course as a championship venue. The club also actively supports junior golf development through summer camps and junior cups, fostering a competitive environment for young players. Amenities include a covered driving range and an on-site lodge, allowing for convenient access to relaxation and accommodation immediately following play.
