Takamatsu Country Club is a 9-hole, par 72 golf course located in Sakaide City, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. Situated in the mountainous terrain of the region, the course is designed to take advantage of the elevated landscape, offering panoramic views of the Seto Inland Sea and the Seto Ohashi Bridge complex. The layout is divided into an Out Course and an In Course, with yardages varying significantly between the regular and back tees. The total yardage from the back tees is 6,320 yards, while the regular tees measure 6,091 yards. The Out Course begins with the 1st hole, "Fujimidai," a par 3 that offers views of the world's largest bridge. The front nine features a mix of uphill and downhill shots, including the 2nd hole "Amanogawa," a par 5 with a dogleg left where the green is not visible from the second shot. The 8th hole, "Zanzan-zaka," is a par 3 played from a high elevation, serving as a viewing platform for the second Seto Ohashi Bridge. The 9th hole, "Ichimisenbon," is a par 4 that requires a careful downhill approach. The In Course presents its own set of challenges, starting with the 10th hole, "Shiohishima," a par 4 with a two-tiered fairway that slopes to the right. The 11th hole, "Grand Canyon," is an uphill par 4 where players must navigate a deep valley that is only 125 yards across. The 12th hole, "Mizuguchi," is a par 5 with a water hazard to the left of the fairway. The 17th hole, "Aa Mujou," is a par 3 played through a deep valley, where the distance to the opposite bank can be deceptive. The course is known for its undulating terrain and strategic bunkering. Many holes feature slopes that affect ball roll and lie, requiring precise shot placement. The greens are generally well-maintained, with some holes like the 3rd, "Daibosatsu-to," having greens that hold the ball well. The course also has OB areas on several holes, including the 7th, 13th, 16th, and 18th, which add to the difficulty. The course has hosted various local tournaments and events, including the "FM Kagawa Takamatsu Country Open."
