Akitsubara Senior Open Competition No. 171

The 171st Akitsubara Senior Open Competition is a 3-day strokeplay event held July 29–31, 2026, at Akitsubara Golf Club. Open to men and women aged 65 and over (age proof required on entry). Entry is by phone from June 29, 2026 at 10:00. Limited to 20 groups per day (60 groups total). Green fee for guests under 70: 15,800 JPY; guests 70+: 14,850 JPY (includes caddy, cart, lunch, and entry fee). Competition format: 18-hole strokeplay, Double Par-A (Doubles) method with 6-inch place on general areas and one grip on the green allowed. Tie-breakers: higher handicap, then older age, then countback from the 18th hole. Total score across all three days is aggregated. Prizes are luxury goods (shipped after the event). Cancellation fee: 3,000 JPY per person if cancelled after 3 PM two days before play. Golf course tax exemption card holders should bring their card; otherwise one will be issued.
