The Friday Evening Competition (Vrijdag Avond Competitie) is a 9-hole pairs Best Ball competition held at Golfbaan De Zeeuwsche in Middelburg. The event takes place on Friday evenings from April through August, with the 21 August 2026 date confirmed. Non-member golfers from other clubs (greenfee players) may participate, but must register through a member of De Zeeuwsche via the Mijn Zeeuwsche online portal. Registration closes on Wednesday at 18:00. The entry fee is €7.50 per participant, payable on the evening of the competition at check-in. Players must report to the competition committee 30 minutes before their start time (approximately 18:00) and pay the entry fee. Scorecards must be submitted via intogolf.nl after the round. A prize-giving is held after each competition, and all participants are required to attend. The competition committee determines the prizes for each event.

In addition to the main 9-hole course, De Zeeuwsche offers a par-3 course, also designed by Steensels and recognized as one of the Netherlands' most valued par-3 layouts. This shorter course is open to all golfers, including those without formal golf qualifications. The facility includes a unique water driving range where players can practice both over water and grass, plus a putting green for dedicated practice. The clubhouse features the Brasserie De Zeeuwsche, offering dining and beverage services. The course is described as low-threshold and welcoming, catering to both beginners and experienced golfers, with instruction available through various lesson formats.
