The Laidley Men & Ladies Golf Classic is a two-day men's competition held at Laidley Golf Club on 10th and 11th April 2027. Visitors and non-members may enter by phoning the Clubhouse during office hours or contacting the after-hours contact (Cheryl Sternberg, 0438 617 265). The Ladies portion of the Classic is held separately on 15th and 16th April 2027. The event is part of the club's competitive calendar and is open to visiting golfers. Entry fee is $80.00 for 2 days (plus $5.00 for QSOOM entrants). Nomination forms are available on the club website and can be returned by email to admin@laidleygolfclub.com.au or submitted online. The event is also part of the Men's MDGA Order of Merit and is held in conjunction with Golf Queensland.

Laidley Golf Club is a twelve-hole course located adjacent to Lake Dyer, two kilometres from the township of Laidley in Queensland. Originally opened in 1951 as a nine-hole layout, the course was extended to twelve holes in 2002 with support from a Sport & Recreation Grant, with the new holes officially opening in January 2003. The extension added variety and increased challenge for both competitive and social players. Two new dams were constructed during the expansion and now serve as distinctive on-course features. The new greens were professionally designed by David Burrup. The competition course offers eighteen different tees for both men and ladies, accommodating various skill levels. The club's picturesque setting adjacent to Lake Dyer provides an attractive golfing environment. Future expansion plans exist to develop an additional six holes, bringing the course to eighteen holes as funding becomes available.
