The Oman Golf Trophy presented by Audi is a Chapman pairs Stableford competition held at Golfclub Murtal-Spielberg. The event is open to all amateur golfers who are members of a club affiliated with the Austrian Golf Federation (ÖGV) or an internationally recognized national federation, and who hold a World Handicap Index (WHI) of 54 or lower. Amateurs with a WHI between 37 and 54 are assessed with a WHI of 36 for scoring purposes. Teams consist of two players, and the team playing handicap is calculated as 60% of the lower partner's playing handicap plus 40% of the higher partner's, rounded up to the nearest whole stroke from 0.5. The competition is played over 18 holes in Stableford format and is not handicap-relevant. Men tee off from the yellow tees and women from the red tees, regardless of age. Entry is available online, by email, or by phone, with entries accepted in order of receipt. The entry deadline is 12:00 noon on the day before the tournament. The entry fee is €35 for members of the host club, €70 for members of the Murhof Group and partner clubs, and €80 for guests. The fee includes the entry fee, 18-hole green fee (for non-members), catering during the round, and a meal after the round. Day team evaluations are conducted in gross for first place and net for places 1-3 within each net group, with the number of net groups dependent on the number of participants. A double prize exclusion applies. Prizes are Murhof Group gift vouchers awarded at the presentation ceremony following the tournament. In the event of a tie, the better scores on the last 9, then 6, then 3, then 1 holes determine the winner; in net play, proportional handicap strokes are applied. If still tied, a draw is used. The competition is governed by the R&A Rules Limited, current ÖGV competition recommendations, and approved course rules. Tournament management is by Gerd Telesklav and the duty marshal.

Golf Club Murtal is an 18-hole championship course located in Styria, Austria, near Knittelfeld. Built in the 1990s, the course underwent a redesign by renowned Irish architect Jeff Howes, transforming it into a modern facility offering challenges for both single-digit handicappers and beginners. The course is characterized by well-maintained, deep green fairways surrounded by the rolling hills of the Aichfeld region, creating a scenic Alpine setting. The layout incorporates numerous idyllic ponds, manicured flower meadows, and hidden streams throughout the routing, providing both aesthetic appeal and strategic play considerations. Golf Club Murtal features one of the region's most modern and extensive practice facilities, including multiple practice greens and a driving range suitable for all skill levels. The facility includes a contemporary clubhouse with the café and restaurant "EssPar," offering regional specialties, fine dining, and views of the course from a sun terrace and climate-controlled winter garden. The club accommodates golf carts and trolleys and permits dogs on leashes. The course is easily accessible from the Knittelfeld West motorway exit, approximately two minutes away.
