The Braehead Golf Club Gents Autumn Open is a men's individual strokeplay competition open to all amateur golfers aged 18 or above who are members of a CONGU-affiliated club. The maximum course handicap is 28. The competition is played over 18 holes starting at 7:45 am, with the last players starting no later than 2:15 pm. The field is limited to 180 players. Entries must be submitted with the appropriate entry fee, booked through the Braehead Golf Club website (Opens), BRS Golf Now, or other booking sites. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the competition start date; after this time, the entry fee is payable and non-refundable. In the event of a tie, the winner is decided over the last 9, 6, 3 holes, etc., as the committee may decide. The prize fund consists of 75% of entry income, with up to eight prizes (four scratch and four handicap). No competitor may win more than one prize. Full catering is available throughout the day. Smart casual dress is required; denim jeans, collarless shirts, sports shorts, shell suits, and tracksuit bottoms are not permitted. Spiked shoes are not allowed inside the clubhouse.
