Every Sunday at 10:00 am, Castle Highlands Golf Course hosts an open, 9-hole Texas Scramble. The event is open to men and women, and to both members and non-members (visitors welcome). Teams are created from all participants who show up and pay the $10 entry fee (plus green fees for non-members). Depending on the number of entrants, each team consists of 3 to 5 players, with every attempt made to create evenly balanced teams. All collected entry fees are paid out as prizes: 50% to the winning team and the remaining 50% divided among teams who finish with skins (lowest untied score on any given hole). Participants are encouraged to call 218-586-2681 prior to the start time on the day of the scramble to reserve their spot, providing their score or handicap to help speed up team formation.
