Camden Country Club

Camden, AR, United States

Camden Country Club is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by the renowned Donald Ross, located in historic Camden, South Carolina, the state's oldest inland city. Established in 1903 and chartered in 1899, the club was originally founded as a venue for golf, polo, and other athletic sports. The Donald Ross design is recognized as one of the Carolinas' most challenging tests of golfing skill, reflecting the architect's signature style of strategic course design with demanding shot requirements. Set within a private club environment that has maintained its commitment to excellence for over a century, the course exemplifies the standards of a distinguished South Carolina institution. Beyond golf, the club offers comprehensive facilities including four tennis courts with tournament lighting, a four-lane swimming pool, and dining and event spaces. The course's rich history and careful preservation make it a notable example of early 20th-century American golf architecture in the Southeast.
