The Punch Bowl is a 36-hole scratch medal competition held over two rounds at Trentham Golf Club. Round 1 takes place on Sunday 13th September 2026, with Round 2 on Monday 14th September 2026. The event is open to male golfers with a handicap index of 8.0 or lower. Maximum 72 entries are available. The entrance fee is £65, which includes soup and a sandwich lunch. Voucher prizes are awarded for the four best gross scores, with cash prizes of £350 for 1st, £250 for 2nd, £125 for 3rd, and £75 for 4th. Additional prizes of £50 each are awarded for the best amateur gross and best professional gross scores. No competitor may take more than one voucher prize. Ties for the trophy are decided by sudden death play-off, with other ties resolved over the last 18, 9, 6, 3, or 1 holes. Handicap allowance is 95%. Practice rounds are available for £40 by prior arrangement with the professional. Online entry is available, with signup closing at 7:00 pm on 10th September 2026.
