Golf des Sarrays

Centre-Val de Loire, France

Golf des Sarrays is a 9-hole golf course located in Sainte-Fauste in the Indre department of central France, situated between Châteauroux and Issoudun. The course is positioned at the intersection of three natural regions: the Champagne Berrichonne, the Brenne wetlands, and the Boischaut bocage. The course features a flat but heavily wooded layout, making it ideal for beginners while offering subtle challenges for experienced players. Set at the edge of a large oak forest, the course provides a serene, bucolic atmosphere where regional wildlife including pheasants, deer, and herons can be observed. Golf des Sarrays is designed as a beginner-friendly facility with accessible terrain that doesn't intimidate newcomers. However, the wooded nature and strategic placement of trees add complexity for skilled golfers. The facility offers comprehensive amenities including a practice range with 10 stations, putting green, bunker training area, pro shop, equipment rental, lessons, and on-site bar and restaurant services. The course is officially recognized by the French Golf Federation and welcomes players of all levels without requiring a handicap classification.
