The Opening Tournament is a 2-player Texas Scramble competition played as a Stableford format on the 18-hole Championship Course at Golfclub Adamstal. The event is open to amateur golfers with a handicap of 54 or lower. Entry is open to both members and visiting guests. The entry fee is €95 for guests (including green fee) and €40 for members. Maximum 120 participants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Entries must be submitted by April 16, 2026, at 18:00. Play begins at 10:00 AM. Teams may be mixed or parent-child combinations. The event is not handicap-relevant. In the event of a tie, the result is determined by evaluating the nine holes with the highest difficulty ratings (1, 18, 3, 16, 5, 14, 7, 12, 9), then progressively fewer holes if still tied. Prizes are awarded for the top 1 gross score and top 3 net scores, with a separate family evaluation for the top 3 net scores. The prize-giving ceremony takes place at 4:00 PM followed by a meal. The tournament is organized by Franz Wittmann and Billy Mahaffy.
