Golfclub Millstätter See

Millstatt, Kärnten, Austria

Golfclub Millstätter See is an 18-hole golf course located at 808 meters elevation in Carinthia, Austria, offering spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountain landscape. The course winds across gentle hills and presents a diverse layout that challenges both experienced golfers and beginners. Key features include water hazards requiring precise shots, tactical doglegs, and strategically placed bunkers that create interesting and demanding gameplay. The course was named Golf Club of the Year in 2022. The terrain is notably hilly, with the 18th hole being particularly strenuous, making a golf cart advisable for players preferring not to walk. The facility includes a practice area noted as one of Austria's best, instruction from golf professional Paul Thompson, and a restaurant with commanding terrace views overlooking the lake. The setting combines sporting challenge with natural beauty, making it an attractive destination for golf enthusiasts seeking a scenic Alpine playing experience.
