Sandringham Golf Club hosts weekly competitions at Sandy Golf Links (Cheltenham Road, Cheltenham VIC 3192, Australia) that are open to visitors. A competition fee of $5 for 18-hole competitions applies and is payable at the Cafe or Pro Shop prior to your round. Registration is via the Pro Shop or Cafe, and scores must be entered using the MiScore mobile app; paper scorecards will not be processed. Visitors are welcome to enter any of the competitions but are not eligible to win major trophy events. Visitors cannot win a prize in the Saturday competition once they have played in 6 competition games in a calendar year. Bayside Council residents enjoy a $2.50 discount on green fees. The club uses the World Handicap System with maximum daily handicaps of 36 for men and 45 for women. Competitions run throughout the week: Saturday features a variety of formats including stableford, strokeplay, par, 2-ball ambrose, matchplay, and 4BBB pairs, with prizes for overall, men's grades (A, B, C), and women's divisions. Sunday is a stableford competition with a mixed field and prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Mid-week competitions (Monday to Friday) are stableford with prizes based on scores by grade across the whole five days. A Grade is for handicaps up to 15, B Grade for 16-20, and C Grade for 21 and above. A minimum field size of 20 players is required to award prizes.
