The Olivar Christmas Tournament is an individual stableford competition held at Golf Olivar de la Hinojosa on December 5, 2026. The event is open to all golfers who hold an official federation license and handicap. Categories include two handicap divisions (0-20.0 and 20.1-54.0), a scratch category, and a ladies category. Tee times are assigned in consecutive order based on handicap, starting from tee 1. Players may request to play together in groups of up to two, with the pair placed in the tee time of the higher-handicap player. The maximum time allowed to complete the round is 5 hours and 30 minutes; slow play and delays may result in disqualification. Digital scoring cards are used, with results displayed on the GolfDirecto platform. Entry is made through the olivar.golf website or the GolfDirecto application. Golf buggies are permitted unless weather conditions or the competition committee decide otherwise. Trophies are awarded to the 1st and 2nd placed players in each handicap category, the top lady, and the scratch winner. Prize presentation takes place at the club's annual event in January of the following year. Catering is provided during the tournament. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required for a refund, which will be processed by transfer on the 5th of the following month if the spot can be filled by another player. The general club handicap limit for men and ladies is 30.

Golf Olivar de la Hinojosa

Comunidad de Madrid, Spain

Golf Olivar de la Hinojosa is a 27-hole facility located in Madrid's Campo de las Naciones district. The course features an 18-hole championship layout with par 72, complemented by a 9-hole par 29 course suitable for players of all skill levels. The facility was developed on a former landfill site, transformed into a green space that serves the local community. The course is characterized by three lakes integrated throughout the layout, which enhance both the playing experience and environmental value. The terrain incorporates approximately 2,000 newly planted trees, creating a vibrant ecosystem. The landscape features rolling terrain with water hazards as defining elements, providing moderate to challenging conditions. Key environmental features include sustainable water management using recycled water from the Las Rejas treatment facility, advanced irrigation technology, solar panels for energy independence, and electric vehicle charging stations. The three lakes serve dual purposes—supporting gameplay while providing wildlife habitat for various bird and fish species. The facility includes a clubhouse offering Mediterranean cuisine, practice facilities, a golf school, and hosts regular tournaments throughout the year. The course represents a significant environmental rehabilitation project, functioning as both a recreational venue and urban green space.
