A 9-hole strokeplay competition held fortnightly on Wednesday evenings at 5:00 pm. The event is open to both members and non-members. Entry fee is $30 for non-members and $15 for members. All golfers must be in by 5:15 pm, and the last golfers allowed to play 9 holes must tee off no later than 3:30 pm before the tournament.

The 9-hole Cherryville course features 2,640 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 35. The Cherryville golf course opened in 1948. The course rating is 33.4 and it has a slope rating of 110 on Bermuda grass. Additional tees can be used when playing an eighteen hole round. The facility has an onsite driving range with 3 practice tees. The course features narrow and tree-lined fairways with small greens that are fast and extremely undulating. Sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course design, and water hazards come into play on two holes. The course is open to anyone on weekdays, and only to members on the weekends. Located in Cherryville, North Carolina, the facility provides a challenging layout suitable for golfers of varying skill levels with well-maintained conditions.
