The Spark Golf League is a 9-hole social golf league held weekly on Fridays at Reston National Golf Course. The league runs from June 19, 2026, through September 4, 2026. Players can join as individuals or in 2-person teams. The team game uses a net best ball (betterball) format where each player plays their own ball and the better net score counts. An individual game is also played based on net scores. Handicaps are provided by Spark Golf; no existing handicap is necessary. The entry fee is $56 per round, which includes a cart. Registration is online via the Spark Golf app or website, with deadlines typically at 10:00 AM on the day of play. The event is open to all golfers regardless of skill level. Each round has a maximum of 36 players (varies by week), with tee times starting at 5:00 PM. Players enter scores via the Spark Golf app, and a live leaderboard is displayed. Skins are available each round. The format is net best ball for teams (pairs) and net score for individuals.

Reston National Golf Course

VA, United States

Reston National Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 71, public course designed by Edmund (Ed) Ault and opened in 1970. The 166-acre layout located on the Chesapeake Bay watershed is a certified Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary. The championship course spans over 6,800 yards from the back tees. The course is located in the heart of the Live-Work-Play Reston community and is minutes from Reston Town Center, Tysons Corner, and Dulles Airport. The course is classically designed with mature trees on gently rolling landscape, tree-lined rolling fairways, and heavily bunkered greens. Water comes into play on four holes. Notable holes include the 440-yard 13th which doglegs left and uphill, the 408-yard ninth with a severe dogleg, and the par-4 seventh which offers risk-reward opportunities. The three par 5s play no longer than 530 yards. The course averages approximately 40,000 rounds annually, making it one of the busiest courses in the Mid-Atlantic region. Amenities include a full driving range and short-game practice area, as well as PinHigh, a 150-seat grill room with a covered pavilion overlooking the driving range.
