Wellshire Four-Ball

The 83rd Annual Wellshire Four-Ball Championship is a 3-day, 54-hole amateur golf tournament held at Wellshire Golf Course in Denver, Colorado, on Labor Day Weekend (September 5–7, 2026). The event is open to all amateur players regardless of residency or handicap status — no GHIN handicap is required. Teams of two compete in a two-person best ball format, with the low score on each hole recorded for the team. The tournament consists of three rounds of gross stroke play. After the first two rounds, teams are divided into 10 equal flights based on their 2-day gross team score, and the final round features team competition within each flight. The overall event winner is awarded to the team with the lowest 3-day gross score regardless of flight. Players must play from the same tees throughout the event: Bronze tees for men, Black tees for women, and Gold tees for senior men aged 62 and older. Tee times are posted online, with a double tee start offering two waves (7:00–9:00 AM and 12:00–1:50 PM). Registration opens Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 9:00 AM MST and closes Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 4:00 PM MST. Entries must be made online as a team; entries are not accepted in the pro shop. The entry fee includes green fees for all three days, a food/drink coupon, closest-to-the-hole contests, and a player gift. Carts can be reserved upon registration or purchased at the pro shop on the day of the tournament. Prizes are awarded to the top gross finishers within each flight. Additional on-course competitions include closest-to-the-pin contests on all par-3 holes for all three rounds and skins available as a package for all three days.
