Flag Tournament

Flagturnering is an open individual tournament held at Volstrup Golfcenter on September 26, 2026, with continuous start from 08:00. The format is flagspil (flag play), where each player receives a flag to place where their ball lies after using a number of strokes equal to the course par plus their playing handicap. Players continue playing beyond 18 holes if necessary until all allocated strokes are used. Distances are measured on holes 18, 1, and 2 using measuring tapes provided on course. The winner is the player whose ball is closest to the flag on the next upcoming hole; ties are resolved by measurement, and if still level, by lowest handicap. Scoring uses stableford-style points for all players after completing 18 holes post-flag placement. The tournament is divided into 2 divisions/ranks. Entry fee is 75 DKK payable via MobilPay (736098) before the deadline, or cash up to 30 minutes before start. Non-full-time members and guest players (not members of Golfringen) also pay 200 DKK greenfee. The start list is published in Golfbox by September 25 at 10:00. Electronic scorecards are submitted by one player per team. The tournament is handicap-regulated. Prizes are awarded to positions 1-5 in each division, with 1st place receiving 2 gift vouchers worth 3,000 DKK each sponsored by NordicGolfers.com. Additional prizes include nearest-the-pin on holes 2 and 17, and clap prizes drawn among registered players who have not won other prizes and are present at the draw. Prize presentation occurs immediately after the tournament. Tee times are allocated by level (orange/blue/green as indicated in the score entry link).
