Great Northern invites all golfers (handicap 36 or under) to the open Best Ball Battle 2026, held on Friday 30 October 2026 at Great Northern Golf Course, Great Northern Ave. 1, 5300 Kerteminde. The event is a bestball competition with two players per side, playing 18 holes with stableford scoring. Handicaps are applied at 87.5% (3/4 handicap). Tee times start from 09:00 with rolling starts from holes 1 and 10. Men play from GN 3 tees and women from GN 4 tees. Maximum 56 teams (112 players) can enter. The entry fee of 1,200 DKK per team covers green fees for both players, plus a sandwich and one refreshment per person after the round. Registration is open until Friday 16 October at 12:00 (or 23 October at 12:00 according to GolfBox details), with a first-come-first-served waiting list principle. One player per team will receive an SMS with a payment link. Tied results are decided mathematically (last 36, 18, 9, 6, 3, 1 holes) and then by draw if necessary. Great Northern Course is an 18-hole championship layout stretching 6,775 meters, designed by the renowned American architecture firm Nicklaus Design. Located in Kerteminde, Denmark, the course is integrated discretely into the surrounding natural landscape, offering a world-class golfing experience that respects its environment. The course offers multiple tee positions accommodating various skill levels, from GN I (6,347m) for single-digit handicaps to GN III (5,242m) for higher handicaps. An accompanying 9-hole Academy Course is also available.
