Cedars at Dungeness Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course located in Sequim, Washington, featuring six tee options ranging from 4,534 to 6,582 yards. The layout combines challenging design with playability across difficulty levels, with course ratings from 61.8 to 71.1 and slopes from 101 to 130. The course is known for its distinctive features, most notably the "Ole Crabby" bunker on hole 3—the world's only bunker shaped like a Dungeness crab, accented with red volcanic cinders from Bend, Oregon. The Par 5 hole is considered one of the course's signature challenges. Other notable holes include the Par 4 "Killer Whale" (hole 15), described as arguably the toughest par 4, and the finishing Par 4 "Totem Way" (hole 18), promoted as one of the Northwest's best finishing holes. The course provides a challenging yet enjoyable experience, with well-maintained conditions in Western Washington. Key characteristics include elevated greens, strategic bunkering, wind considerations, and undulating terrain. The 18-hole layout features thoughtfully named holes reflecting local culture and wildlife, creating a distinctive identity while testing golfers of varying skill levels.
