The New Year's Day Texas Scramble is a mixed team competition held at Royston Golf Club on Friday 1st January 2027. Teams of four players register together, with all four members teeing off each hole and the best drive selected for subsequent shots. The competition uses a Texas Scramble format with handicap allowances of 25%/20%/15%/10% from the lowest to highest playing handicap on the team. The event is open to all members and visitors with a WHS handicap. Players are asked to play from the White tees (men) and Red tees (ladies). The entry fee is £2.00 per team member, payable on entry. Registration opens at 7:36 pm on 22nd December 2026 via the intelligentgolf online system, with payment by team individuals possible on the day via the IG App check-in function.
