Minto Golf Course

Scottish Borders, Scotland

Minto Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course located in the Scottish Borders near the village of Denholm, approximately 5 miles from Hawick and accessible from the border towns of Jedburgh, Kelso, and Melrose. Designed in 1928, the course is set within the undulating terrain of Minto Hill, offering scenic views characteristic of the region. The course is described as a testing but fair parkland layout suitable for golfers of all abilities. Recent course improvements include the addition of several new bunkers, which have contributed to raising the standard scratch score to 68. The design takes advantage of the natural undulating landscape, creating varied playing conditions across the round. Minto offers a traditional Scottish golf experience in a picturesque parkland setting, combining the challenge of strategic bunkering with the natural beauty of the Borders landscape. The club hosts tournaments for ladies, gents, and juniors, indicating a welcoming environment for various skill levels and player categories.
