Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, England

Established in 1913, Ashton-under-Lyne Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course located in the Hartshead countryside, approximately six miles east of Manchester city centre in the foothills of the Pennines. The course stretches over 6,200 yards and weaves through mature trees and undulating terrain, featuring strategic bunkers and generous greens. Four tee options accommodate golfers of all abilities throughout the year. The setting combines rural Lancashire countryside with accessibility to urban Manchester, offering a tranquil escape. The course is characterized by its parkland-wooded design with undulating topography typical of the Pennines' foothills. The clubhouse includes a function room with a balcony providing panoramic views of the course, a fully licensed bar, and catering facilities. The club hosts various competitions throughout the year, including matchplay, strokeplay, mixed, and Stableford formats. The course continues to benefit from ongoing improvements and investment in its facilities. As a Lancashire County Venue, Ashton-under-Lyne welcomes both members and visiting golfers, offering competitive green fees and reciprocal privileges with other clubs.
