Junior Open at Verulam Golf Club on Friday 14th August 2026. Open to boys and girls under 18 years old (as of 1st January 2026). Played as an 18-hole singles medal competition (strokeplay) from the White tees for boys and Red tees for girls. Handicap allowance is 95%. Entry fee is £35.00 for non-members and £25.00 for Verulam Golf Club members. Online signup is available, closing at 12:00 pm on 10th August 2026. An entry form is also available for download. Registration begins at 09:00 with hot chocolate and bacon rolls. Tee times commence at 10:00. The event includes a rolling one-course lunch at 14:30 followed by prize presentation. Scratch and Handicap prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, including a Handicap Division for the nearest the pins.

Verulam Golf Club is a par 72 course designed by James Braid in 1905, located in St Albans, Hertfordshire, in the heart of the historic town of Verulamium. The course is celebrated as the home of the Ryder Cup-the trophy was donated in 1927 by Samuel Ryder, a St Albans seed merchant and club captain, for the first official match between Great Britain and the United States. The club has operated as a thriving members' club for well over a century. Described as a mature course, it features well-maintained tee boxes, greens, and bunkers. While characterized as relatively short, it presents a challenging layout that remains a consistent test of golf. The course is situated in a pleasant setting typical of the Hertfordshire landscape, offering a welcoming environment for both members and visitors.
