Mid Pines is one of the few courses in America that recalls the early days of golf in the 1920s, which they embrace whole-heartedly with their annual Hickory Open. This festive tournament attracts a field of 100 hickory enthusiasts from all over the world and includes three days of championship golf with period dress and equipment from the 1920s. The event is hosted at Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club, a Donald Ross-designed course. Registration opens after Thanksgiving, with priority given to past players.
