The 16th edition of the Liemeer Open, held on Sunday 6 September 2026 at Golf- & Country Club Liemeer in Nieuwveen. This prestigious individual strokeplay tournament is for better golfers and counts towards the Order of Merit of the Open Golf Tour and Senior Golf Tour. The event is limited to 78 participants: maximum 60 men (WHS handicap lower than 8.0, born before 1 January 2005) and 18 women (WHS handicap lower than 12.0, born before 1 January 2005). Men play from the white tees on the Torenbaan, ladies from the blue tees. The entry fee is €66.00 (including coffee/tea reception, post-tournament refreshments, and prizes); members of Golf- & Countryclub Liemeer pay €39.00. Entries open on 18 May 2026 and close on 29 August 2026. Payment is via iDEAL. The winner receives the 'Black Jacket'; top men and ladies win a fully catered golf trip provided by 3D Golfvakanties, with additional prizes for best scores, nearest the pin, new course records, and hole-in-ones.

Golf- & Country Club Liemeer is a compact yet challenging 18-hole golf course located in Nieuwveen, in the municipality of Nieuwkoop within the Groene Hart region, centrally situated between Utrecht, Leiden, and Amsterdam. The course features two distinct layouts: De Torenbaan and De Bovenlanden. Easily accessible from the entire Randstad metropolitan area, the course is situated near Alphen aan den Rijn in a picturesque landscape setting. The course offers trolleys and qualifying rounds, with summer greens maintained to high standards. A driving range is available for practice. The facility emphasizes accessibility and playability while maintaining competitive challenge. The course supports various tournament formats, including the Liemeer Jeugd Open youth competition scheduled for March 29. The surrounding setting provides scenic views characteristic of the Groene Hart's natural landscape. The club also operates a golf school offering instruction for beginners through advanced players, and includes dining facilities at the on-site restaurant, De Heeren van Liemeer, which overlooks the course.
