The Caversham gb

Mapledurham, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom

The Caversham is home to the Eyston Course, a championship-level inland links layout designed by renowned Canadian architect Tom McBroom—his inaugural UK project. Built to USGA standards and fully redesigned over two years, the course features eight different playing layouts through cleverly configured tee combinations, making it accessible to golfers of all abilities while providing a formidable challenge from the championship tees. Located in Mapledurham, Reading, Berkshire, the course opened as the home of Reading Golf Club in April 2021. The venue sits on inland terrain with south-west facing views and includes extensive practice facilities. The Eyston Course has garnered positive industry recognition for its design quality and playability. The club offers a comprehensive golfing experience with a refurbished clubhouse featuring a golf-oriented gym, fitness suite, restaurant, and bar with terraced areas overlooking the grounds. Future development includes a planned six-hole academy course to complement the championship layout and enhance junior and beginner coaching programmes.
