Senior Men's Open No 1 is a 4-man team stableford competition for golfers aged 55 and over, held at Saltburn Golf Club on Wednesday 12 May 2027. The event starts at 8:00 am with a finish by 3:00 pm. Teams consist of four players, with the two best scores from each team counting towards the team total. The handicap allowance is 85% of each player's WHS handicap, with handicaps capped at 18 after the allowance is applied. The entry fee is £72 per team. All players must hold a current WHS handicap and have completed a minimum of eight individual 18-hole handicap qualifying competitions or have submitted eight verified supplementary score cards in the previous rolling 12-month period. Players must be able to produce proof of handicap (e.g., England Golf App or up-to-date Handicap Certificate) if requested. Visiting players require their CDH number to book in. All fields on the booking sheet are mandatory. The competition is open to men aged 55 and over, with a maximum of 148 entries allowed. Online signup is available through the club's booking system, with entries closing at midnight on the day of the competition (12 May 2027). Cancellation policy: no refund if cancelled 7 days or less before the competition; full refund offered if the course is closed due to weather or other circumstances.

Saltburn Golf Club is an 18-hole course situated on Hob Hill near Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North East coast of England. The layout makes strategic use of the hill's natural contours to create challenging holes that test various aspects of play. The course features seven par 4s across the front nine holes, with par 3s at holes 2 and 9, and one par 5 at hole 13 on the opening side. The back nine comprises primarily par 4s and par 5s, with notable par 3s at holes 12 and the signature 18th hole. The setting offers spectacular coastal views overlooking the North Sea, with vistas extending from Huntcliff across Saltburn town towards Teesport's industrial landscape and up to South Shields. Inland views encompass the North York Moors and Roseberry Topping. The par 3s present a particular challenge, with the elevated 18th hole serving as a distinctive finishing hole.
