The Seniors Open takes place at Oakmere Park Golf Club (Admirals Front 9), Oxton, Nottinghamshire on Monday 7 September 2026. The competition is open to gents and ladies (seniors) and is played as a Four Ball Betterball format in 2-player teams. Entry is available online via the club's BRS Golf booking page. The visitor entry fee is £30.00. Players must hold a handicap of 28 or less (men) or 36 or less (ladies), or be able to play to an equivalent standard. A strict dress code applies: all shirts must have a collar and be tucked in, trousers/shorts must be tailored, golf shoes required, and players must have their own golf bag and clubs (sharing not permitted). Soft spikes only are permitted between 1 April and 31 October.

The club offers the Championship 18-hole Admirals Course, designed as a true test of skill, alongside the full-length 9-hole Commanders Course and the Par 3 Captains Course for short game practice. The courses benefit from free-draining ground conditions, making Oakmere one of the driest and most challenging courses in Nottinghamshire with excellent playing conditions year-round. The heathland terrain and natural landscape provide a challenging and scenic setting. The club caters to golfers of all abilities, from championship players to those developing their skills. Oakmere also hosts competitive events, including club championships and team competitions following Ryder Cup formats, demonstrating its role as an active golfing community.
