County Londonderry, Northern Ireland

Castlerock Golf Club is located on the North Coast of Northern Ireland near Castlerock, Co. Londonderry. The club features two courses: the championship Mussenden Course (18 holes, ranked 31st best in Ireland) and the 9-hole Bann Course (ranked 59th in Ireland). The Mussenden Course is a links layout set through dramatic duneland with a mix of seaside holes and more inland Scottish-style terrain with muted mounds. The course presents significant challenges, particularly its formidable rough. Notable holes include the famous "Leg of Mutton," a par-3 fourth hole measuring approximately 200 yards with a railway to the right and ditch to the left. The par-5 fifth hole on the Bann Course runs alongside the River Bann estuary. The course has hosted tournament-standard holes with championship credentials comparable to other prestigious Irish links courses. Castlerock is known for excellent greens and has earned recognition as Ireland's "Hidden Gem" for links golf. The layout combines challenging architecture with scenic views across the dunes and waterfront, offering both difficulty and beauty. The course has attracted notable golfers and maintains strong playing conditions throughout the year.
