Glasrikets Golf Club is located in the Fylleryd nature reserve near Växjö, Sweden. The course's grounds are entirely owned by the club and situated within this protected natural area, requiring adherence to management plans established by the regional county administration. The club works closely with Växjö municipality's environmental officer annually to coordinate land management activities. The landscape features a mix of woodland and pastureland, with approximately one-third of the property comprising grazing land and hay meadows. The club maintains a multi-year agreement with a livestock operator to ensure that grazing animals and meadow maintenance continue across the property. Course maintenance includes forestry management, primarily conducted during winter months, involving brush clearing and selective thinning of areas adjacent to the fairways. The Off Course Committee manages the forestry aspects of the property, overseeing woodland stewardship and environmental conservation efforts. The club emphasizes sustainable land management practices compatible with the nature reserve designation, balancing golf operations with habitat preservation and ecological responsibility.
