Am Am Open Event

The Open Am-Am Competition takes place at Cotswold Hills Golf Club, Cheltenham, on Saturday 29 August 2026. This is a team-based open competition played in the Bowmaker format: teams of 4 players compete with the 2 best net scores counting on each hole, played off 85% of course handicap. Entry is available online via HowDidIDo or by downloading and submitting the entry form from the club website. The event is open to visiting amateur golfers. Entry fee is £240 per team (£60 per player) for visitors; members pay £100 per team (£25 per player). Entry fees include a buffet lunch. Starting times are allocated from 8:00 am upon receipt of entry fee; preferred starting times can be indicated on entry. Entries are limited to the first 44 teams received. The closing date for entries is 14 August 2026. Handicap limits: 18 for men and 36 for ladies. Low Amateurs (handicap 7 and under) receive individual prizes; low ladies receive 3 SSS adjustment strokes deducted from their total gross score. Teams without a player having a handicap of 7 or less must nominate one player to play off 7 as the Low Amateur. Smart casual dress is required in the clubhouse; mobile phones and golf shoes are not permitted in the clubhouse. Optional ball sweep is available on registration for a small fee.
