Venue

Lanark Golf Club

Lanark, South Lanarkshire, Scotland

Lanark Golf Club, founded in 1851, is the world's oldest inland golf course. Originally designed by Old Tom Morris and George Sayers, the course was later refined by James Braid, who constructed several new holes that form the current layout. Located in Lanark on moorland built atop ancient glacial sands, the course features a classic inland links-style design with firm, undulating fairways that drain freely and large, fast greens suitable for year-round play. The course is known for its characteristic moorland terrain and traditional golf architecture. As a historic venue with over 170 years of heritage, Lanark Golf Club maintains its position as a significant landmark in golf history, offering visitors and members a distinctive playing experience on one of Scotland's most established courses.
