The Ray Gray Pairs Open is a mixed pairs Better Ball Stableford competition taking place at Evesham Golf Club on Saturday 29th August 2026. Pairs can be any combination of members, guests, men, and ladies. Men play from the white tees and ladies from the red tees. An official WHS handicap index is required, with stroke allowance at 85% of the calculated handicap index using the Evesham GC course slope rating (130 men, 128 ladies) and course rating (71.3 men, 73.4 ladies). Maximum handicap index allowance is 25.3 for men and 32.7 for ladies (players with higher handicaps may still play but are restricted to these maximum allowances). The entry fee is £25 per person for visitors and £10 for members. Entry is via online booking system or by email entry form to Peter Clarke, with closing date 21st August 2026. Prizes include the Ray Gray Open trophy for the team with the best stableford score, with countback rules for ties and prizes for the first four places. Additional competitions include Men's and Ladies' Nearest the Pin, a 2's ball sweep, and a raffle. No food is included in the entry fee, but a selection will be available throughout the day.
